The 2022 Therme Manchester Marathon takes place this Sunday (3rd April) with 24,000 people registered to take part. Below we cover some common questions.
WHAT TIME DOES IT START?
Participants begin from 9:00, starting with the wheechairs and elites, but it will take roughly two hours to get everybody over the start line.
IS IT ON TV?
The Therme Manchester Marathon is not on traditional television, but you can watch several live streams direct from the route through our live coverage page.
WHAT ROADS ARE CLOSED
Around 125,000 people will be lining the closed streets, with roads in Trafford and the surrounding areas impacted for several hours. You can see all the timings and locations of the closures on our dedicated page.

CAN I TRACK THE LOCATION OF A RUNNER IN THE THERME MANCHESTER MARATHON?
You can get a predicted location for any of the 24,000 runners taking part. The technology uses timing points throughout the course to monitor each runner’s progress, and then predict their movement based on their time so far. You can use it from Sunday here.
