This past Sunday thousands took part in the adidas Manchester Marathon and it was a sensational day, helping to raise over £4 million for charity and bringing people from all over the world to celebrate in our incredible home.

With so many participants taking on 26.2 in warm conditions, you may notice some litter in the form of bottles or gel wrappers today and early into the current week. We are undertaking our planned clean-up operation, which covers all 26.2 miles of the route and plenty more in surrounding areas. With hundreds of thousands of supporters spread across Greater Manchester there’s a lot to cover, and whilst we believe we have already done a good job in most areas, if there is a location that needs further attention we’d like to know ASAP so our team can find a solution.
