A day to remember

On social media, one word crops up time and time again when describing the Manchester Marathon.

UNFORGETABLE

There is something about this race that many of our runners find uniquely special. It could be the iconic route or the unrelenting support or even the dependable Lancashire weather… 👀

Whatever it is, you might be considering picking up a souvenir to remind you of this most special of days, especially if you’re amongst the 38% of today’s finishers that were taking part for the first time.

Here are your options:

– The Manchester Marathon store offers a range of clothing items including hoodies, running vests and bobble hats. Check them out here.

– You can pick up your post event photos from our photography partner AWOL.

– ITAB provide finishers with the option to customize their medal with their name and finish time. Simply click here to login and select ‘purchase merchandise’.

Watch as you cross the finish line

You may or may not be aware that today’s event was video streamed around the world on the Manchester Marathon website, on England Athletics and on M.E.N.

Our stationary video camera captured every single finisher from today’s event which means you can scroll back using the playhead to find yourself crossing the finish line.

Put your feet up

Recovery is a central part to every athlete’s training routine…even if that recovery includes a glass of red wine and a chocolate orange.

After months of hard training, it’s time to relax. Plonk yourself down on the sofa or run a bath an admire that hard earned Therme Manchester Marathon medal. We’ll be in touch with all finishers via email on the evening of the event, so keep an eye out for us in your inbox.

Donate to one of our official charities

Over 1,800 runners fundraised for over 475 charities, and we raised more than £2.5million for vital causes. This included for our official charity partners – Alzheimer’s Society, British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK and Sense.

Organisers are also donating £1 from every entry to the Trafford Active Fund with the purpose of developing sport in the local area.

You can support our Official Charities by reading more about them here.

Do it all again

Entries to the 2023 Manchester Marathon will open to the public on Tuesday 5th April 2022. Finishers and non runners interested in running again next year should regularly check their emails and our website for updates. To ensure you’re amongst the first to hear any announcements, you can register your interest to run next year here.

We already have some big plans for 2023 and we hope you’ll be there next year to enjoy them with us.
