The adidas Manchester Marathon would like to invite elite athletes to take part free of charge.

The course is flat and offers a fantastic opportunity to get a very fast time. The course will be officially measured and certified by UKA and World Athletics and has the potential for some huge personal best times.

NEW TIME BONUSES FOR 2026
Alongside this years prize money, a £500 time bonus will be awarded to any athlete who records a finishing time of under 2:16 (elite men) or under 2:36 (elite females)*
*Qualifying times must be achieved on official gun time, not chip time.
To qualify for elite entry, within the last three years* you will need to have achieved the following times:
Male:
Sub 02:24:00 marathon or sub 01:07:00 half marathon
Female:
Sub 02:50:00 marathon or sub 01:19:00 half marathon
Racing Wheelchairs:
Male: Sub 02:00:00 marathon / Female: Sub 02:30:00 marathon**
*Subject to races taking place.
**Please note, we do not currently allow hand-cycles to enter our running races. Elite wheelchair athletes who are competing for a prize trophy MUST participate in a racing wheelchair.
