Freedom from Torture is dedicated to healing and protecting people who have survived torture. We stand with survivors, providing therapy and support, and fighting for change together. We provide therapies to improve physical and mental health, we medically document torture and we offer legal and welfare help. We fight to hold torturing states to account and we campaign for fairer treatment of survivors in the UK. Therapeutic, creative and social groups offer activities from gardening and breadmaking to football and chess.

Halton Haven Hospice provides specialist palliative care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses across Halton. Offering compassionate, holistic care, the hospice supports patients and their families both in its inpatient unit and through community services. Dedicated to dignity, comfort, and quality of life, Halton Haven Hospice relies on fundraising and community support to continue delivering its vital services free of charge.

It’s Time was founded from lived experience, knowing firsthand the impact of losing a parent as a young adult. 1 in 7 people will face this life-changing loss by the age of 30, yet the challenges that come with it are often overlooked. We created It’s Time to offer connection, understanding, and support through peer support, grief education, and free group therapy, helping young adults navigate grief, find community, and rebuild hope for the future.

We campaign and raise awareness so the needs of people with MND are recognised and addressed by wider society. People with MND, their families and carers are at the heart of everything we do.

 

Moya Cole Hospice (formerly St Ann’s Hospice) provides specialist care for those with life-limiting illnesses in Greater Manchester. Our vital care relies on generous supporters.

  

Mustard Tree has been combatting poverty and preventing homelessness across Greater Manchester for over 30 years. We provide frontline services to our community through our Food Club, Community Shop, 1-1 support, advocacy, and hardship gifting. These frontline services run alongside our pathways out of poverty including The Freedom Project, vocational courses, English provision and creative classes. This holistic, wraparound approach enables service-users to increase their long-term stability and break out of the cycle of poverty.

We produce trusted information all about mental health problems. We support people through our helplines and online Side by Side community. We campaign with the government to get a better deal on mental health. And we speak out when something isn’t right, demanding mental health support respects our rights. People with a learning disability have long been discriminated against and disproportionately affected by cuts to government funding. We operate around 650 services, and provide personal support to 4,000 people each year.

The North West Air Ambulance Charity’s helicopters and critical care vehicles operate 365 days a year. Their highly skilled doctors and critical care paramedics on board provide enhanced pre-hospital care to patients across the entire North West region each year – an area covering 5,500 square miles and over 8 million people.

The Bobby Colleran Trust is a Liverpool-based charity dedicated to preventing child road deaths and supporting families affected by tragic loss. Inspired by Bobby’s story, the Trust delivers engaging road safety education programmes to schools and community groups, empowering children to make safer choices. Through its Take-Care-for-Bobby initiative, the charity also provides funded mental health counselling for children experiencing traumatic bereavement, helping families build resilience, understanding and hope for the future. The Brain Charity supports people living with all neurological conditions and neurodivergence to live longer, healthier, happier lives. There are over 600 neurological conditions, which can impact anyone, at any stage of life, often bringing challenges that affect wellbeing, independence and everyday life in 1 in 6 people nationally. We champion neurodiversity and provide practical help, emotional support and social activities for anyone with a neurological condition, no matter how common or rare, and their families, friends and carers.

A future of hope and happiness belongs to every teen. But right now, too many are left struggling, with help only offered at crisis point. The Children’s Society provides early help, so no teen has to face the future alone.

Wigan and Leigh Hospice provide specialist end-of-life care, and a wide range of support services, to over 1,200 people who are living with a life-limiting illness in the Wigan Borough. Many patients are cared for in their own homes, although we also care for people living in care homes and in our In-Patient Unit.
