Tuesday motivation So today wasn’t the day I had planned. A long run was on the cards (well the longest I’d ran in weeks) had the route planned and everything. Then was going to head out for a catch up walk with a friend! •Self isolating has now cancelled any plans for 14 days and put a big spanner in the works for the two October challenges I’d signed up to @runr_uk #leavenothingbutfootprints and #manchestermarathon #inyourowntime The stubborn little Alison isn’t going let this stop me completing these challenges unless I’m unlucky and symptoms develop. •God knows how many laps it took and I kept alternating direction and back and forth had a dizzy encounter with the BBQ at 5k he came of worse but all I know is running anti clockwise the yard starts to spin! • Mind over matter is all you need plus some good tunes to listen to! 🎧 🏃‍♀️ #selfisolation#running #runaroundyourbackyard #mentalhealthmatters #mindovermatter#runningintherain #runningmotivation#runhappy #mindovermatter#suunto #heslthymindhealthybody #runnersofinstagram

2. Virtual runs have their ups and downs

Getting the UK’s tallest rollercoaster in the background guarantees you a spot in our round-up!

3. Take the lead…

If you don’t have a tall rollercoaster to hand, then we also have a soft spot for dogs.

Get out of the bloody way, Luna and stop knicking the lime light 🐾😆😍 🐾🏃🏼‍♀️ 🐾🏃🏼‍♀️ Kind of done 2 runs, today. First was with our class doing the daily 10 minutes of exercise and I helped the kids who were struggling with their pace. What is it about kids where they have to set off at full out sprint? 🐾🏃🏼‍♀️ 🐾🏃🏼‍♀️ The second was after work with Luna Lu. Just a little 2 miler and we loved it. Especially when we get home and luna Snuggles up in her dressing gown to keep her warm n dry. @duke_and_neenie_gorunning It’s the one you put me onto and it’s brill. By @ruffandtumbledogcoats 🐾🏃🏼‍♀️ 🐾🏃🏼‍♀️ My heart rate has been all over the place today. Its it because I’m tired? Am I a bit more stressed than I realise? Who knows. But, I think a phone call to the doctors may be in order. 🐾🏃🏼‍♀️ 🐾🏃🏼‍♀️ #doublerun #dailymotivation #runoutdoors #runtoinspire #lovetorun #runwithmydog #trailrunner #trailrunnergirl #moreisinyou #inittogether #yorkshirerunner #gnrsolo #womensrunning #runhappy #manchestermarathon #inyourowntime

4. Mint!

A picture to sum up the Mancunian spirit. Tough times, gloomy weather, and @charisduckie having the time of her life regardless.

5. Already done!

Janet is not messing around, she’s already completed the full 26.2 miles.

6. Spooky

Being in April each year means Halloween is usually very far from our minds at the Manchester Marathon, but this year Helen can embrace the spooky spirit(s) with her marvellous bandana.

7. Bridgewater Canal

Ah, this week’s winner of most picturesque backdrop is…
