JAMIE LAING REACTS TO NAMING OF ROUTE SEGMENT AS 12 EVENT ENTRIES GO UP FOR GRABS
To celebrate Jamie Laing’s incredible Radio 1 Ultra Marathon Man feat, we’re excited to announce the official re-naming of our Chester Road route section as ‘Radio 1’s Laing Lane’, a section of our route in which Jamie crossed last Friday on the final day of his epic challenge.

The name reveal was announced to Jamie live on the BBC Radio 1 Drivetime Show ‘Going Home with Vick, Jamie and Katie’ on Monday 31st March. Jamie’s initial reaction was one of shock, with the television star apparently unable to believe the news:
“You’re joking! That’s unbelievable… are you kidding me?”
He went on to thank the event organisers and community before asking co-presenter Vick Hope if he could call his mum!
