Record demand for spaces = capacity closing in

The 2022 Therme Manchester Marathon on 3rd April has already seen record demand. Around 25,000 runners are registered to take on the almighty 26.2 challenge through the iconic Greater Manchester, which means capacity is quickly closing in.

2022 promises to be our biggest and best event yet, with news that the London Marathon will be moved to the autumn, we are now the UK’s largest spring marathon in 2022. We are delighted to have also been selected by England Athletics to be the host for the England Commonwealth Games qualifiers; welcoming the country’s best endurance runners to compete for a treasured spot on the England team for Birmingham 2022.

In our October 2021 event, we witnessed elite male, Matt Crehan set a new course record of 2:18:26. Elite female, Jenny Spink currently holds the course record title of 2:35:19. With over 60 elite male and female athletes competing for a spot on the England 2022 Commonwealth Games team, we will likely witness course records being broken and create new moments in Therme Manchester Marathon history.

We’re so proud to continue growing year on year, primarily due to the fast flat course, and the unrivalled Mancunian atmosphere, runners from all over the world continue to join us on the start line.

A final allocation of places has been made available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are interested in running you can secure one of the remaining spots by following the link below.
