We are delighted to unveil the 2025 adidas Manchester Marathon finisher tee, designed by Manchester Metropolitan University student, Kian Godbold.

Kian’s design went up against hundreds of other students from Manchester Metropolitan University, all of which reflected the renowned creative spirit of Greater Manchester. The final design draws inspiration from iconic Manchester landmarks and the city’s vibrant culture.

Kian used his experience in graphic design to re-think the iconic adidas Manchester Marathon ‘M’ with 8 unique adaptations all of which capture the region’s distinct identity.

Kian started with over 50 iterations of the logo (which you can see below) before narrowing it down to the final selected ‘M’ logos. The design showcases a series of cultural landmarks and Manchester distinctions, such as the Manchester Worker Bee, the city’s iconic music scene, its rich football history and of course Manchester’s Pride movement.  The marathon represents Manchester and Mancunians with the finisher tee reflecting all that encompasses both the city and its people.

These are 50% recycled Eco Roly Technical Tees. For the avoidance of doubt, these are not adidas t-shirts, but are great quality, and will sport the Manchester Marathon logo (and the fact you have completed the 2024 event) as part of the design.
