The Manchester Marathon In Your Own Time virtual event is well and truly underway, with around 10,000 people working their way towards 26.2 miles during October.

One of the most eye-catching achievements so far was achieved on Tuesday 13^th October, when Mark Cowan completed the distance in one go along Southend-On-Sea seafront. He did this whilst pushing his son Anthony, as a farewell thank you to Whizz-Kidz, who have been supporting him since he was five. They were due to run the original event in Manchester, but had to switch to a virtual version after the cancellation until 2021.

 

During the 5 hours and 17 minute run they were supported by locals (from a distance of course) who helped give them a massive boost, and push them the total distance.
