Manchester Marathon In Your Own Time
Take part virtually in the 2020 event
We have limited space for 20,000 people to run the Manchester Marathon virtually, for the first ever In Your Own Time event. This rather special one-off is a chance to earn highly collectable finisher items, by running a cumulative marathon distance (26.2 miles) during October.

WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO?
Head out on a run wherever you are, and whenever suits you during the month of October. You can complete the distance in as many runs as you like, and at any speed, just do it In Your Own Time.
In addition to the quality finishers items for every single runner who completes the distance, we’ll be running some extra competitions and offering spot prizes on our social media channels.
WHAT DO I GET?
Each person who completes the 26.2 miles during October will be posted a quality 2020 Manchester Marathon finishers medal and Ron Hill t-shirt. (as pictured below)
You will be asked to specify your size when entering.
HOW DO I PROVE MY RUN?
You can use any tracking app of your choice (such as Strava, Runkeeper etc) to show that you have completed the total distance. You’ll need to upload either a summary screenshot to show the total distance.
Once you have completed the challenge in October, you will need to upload your results in order to receive your rewards. Please see below for a step-by-step guide on how to do this:
- Open the event result page
- Enter your registration ID starting with “R-” (that can be found on the top right hand side of the confirmation email)
- Click Go
- On the results submission page, enter your finish time
- Upload a screenshot from your timing app or a photo of your GPS watch that shows the time and distance completed. If you have completed the challenge in multiple runs, please just upload a summary image of the runs.
- Click Submit
- Wait to have your results approved, and then have your finisher items delivered to your house!
CAN I FUNDRAISE FOR CHARITY?
Yes! Your support is vital and valued by all our charities to enable them to carry on with their life changing work. Fundraising is not mandatory to take part but if you would like to set up a page, it is easy to do so for any one of our Official Charity Partners below:

HOW MUCH IS IT?
The cost to cover the Manchester Marathon In Your Own Time is just £15, which includes your medal and t-shirt being posted to a UK address. If you live outside the UK you can choose to have your rewards posted for a small additional charge of £5.
Those who are already signed up to the 2021 Manchester Marathon can receive a discount, which will be emailed to them directly.
WHEN DO MY REWARDS ARRIVE?
Once you have uploaded proof of completion your pack will be created, and should arrive in the post within the following four weeks.
