Ailuna – our new sustainability training app

We all love a dare but how about a dare that is not only fun but has a positive effect on you and the planet?

The adidas Manchester Marathon is committed to improving sustainability at our events so we are extremely excited to announce our partnership with Ailuna, a UK based sustainability training app which makes it fun to develop habits that are good for you and the planet, one new habit at a time. Habits with impact.

Backed by behavioural science, Ailuna allows you to set green goals, embrace the low-waste and low-carbon habits needed to achieve them, and track the positive impact you’re having on the planet.

Many of us have started making changes to our lifestyles to become more sustainable. But the majority of us don’t know where to begin. We don’t know who to ask and may feel alone in our efforts. We go through time-consuming and sometimes costly “trial & error” processes before we find out what works. Ailuna is here to help!

Ailuna’s magic starts with its dares, which are personal training programmes in sustainability. So you can work on your running training, whilst also working on how to do it more sustainably.

The dares are designed and written by Ailuna’s dare team which spends time researching, collating advice and putting it all into the app. When you’re ready to take a dare, Ailuna guides you through the setup process, shows you some easy ways to ensure success and guides you every step of the way. By making small changes you can achieve remarkable results and what’s more, you can invite and challenge your friends and family to take part in dares alongside you. There’s nothing like a bit of healthy competition between friends to keep you motivated and determined!

How to get started?

One of the best things about Ailuna is how easy it is to get started.
All you need to do is download and install the app, pick one or more dares for the habits you would like to build.
In a few clicks you will be on your way to building brand new habits with impact!

What does Ailuna mean?

The word Ailuna (Ai’ luna) is Hawaiian and means “up there, aiming high” which is pretty fitting, because that’s exactly what they are trying to do, always rooted in positivity. If every single one of us aims high and tries to make changes to our lives, we can build a better future for ourselves and for the planet.

Check out this video to see how you can become part of the Ailuna community and really make a difference:

Download the app and see which challenges interest you. New dares are always in development so every month there will be a choice of new habits you can adopt whether you want to stop using single-use cups, switch to loose leaf tea, reduce your waste or use digital services more sustainably, there’s a dare for you.

We’ll be in touch next week on our official adidas Manchester Marathon social media channels (see the buttons at the top of the page) with an exclusive dare and competition hosted by Ailuna to get you started.
