Calling all adidas Manchester Marathon relay participants. Make sure you and the rest of your dream team are clued up on the essential information about the logistics of the day, including travel and bag drop. Click on the drop downs below to view all relay information.
INCLUDED IN YOUR RACE PACK
4x BIBS LABELLED A, B, C, D AND TIMING CHIPS
- Each participant will need to wear 2 RACE BIBS, one for your front and one for your back. The race bibs containing the word ‘RELAY’ only is the one for your back. Please ensure that the correct race bib A, B, C or D is worn by the person running that leg – your results will be affected if you do not do so.
- The first leg must wear race bib A. You will also have a start area at the bottom of your race bib which will coordinate with your start time. Your start time will be emailed out to you before the event.
- IT IS IMPERATIVE that the person wearing the race bib D does the last leg, otherwise you will not get a time for your team. Participants A, B and C will collect their finisher items and medal at their relay changeover point before returning to the Event Village at Lancashire Cricket Club. PARTICIPANT D will collect theirs at the Finish Line.
WHERE TO GO
Each person will run approximately 6.55 miles of 26.2 mile course.
PARTICIPANT A -
Will be starting in their designated wave at the Start Line. Further information on the start process will be sent via email.
THE OTHER 3 PARTICIPANTS -
Will need to make their own way to their designated start point on the route (the relevant relay changeover point).
All of the relay changeover points are within 1km of a Metrolink tram station. We recommend that you use the Metrolink and leave plenty of time for your journey. Do not travel to the changeover points by car as there will be road closures in place for the event and you will not get through. If you need to walk across the course to reach your relay point, please do so with caution.
WHERE TO LEAVE YOUR BAG
PARTICIPANT A -
Give your bag to Participant B to take to the relay changeover point.
PARTICIPANT B -
Give your bag to Participant C to take to the relay changeover point.
PARTICIPANT C -
Give your bag to Participant D to take to the relay changeover point.
PARTICIPANT D -
Leave your bag in the Bag Drop at the Event Village, or to avoid queues leave it with friends and family.
