Access arrangements for Timperley residents blocked in by the closure on B5165 Stockport Road and Thorley Lane closures on Sunday 10^th October 2021

These roads have been closed early to allow us to put in traffic management at Timperley cross roads and Brooklands roundabout for both events.

1. Residents fronting Stockport Road or on roads which exit onto Stockport Road.

These residents can leave using the Stockport Road, in the direction of the Hare and Hounds, only up until 10:15 when the main road closes.

They can also use Grove Lane which will give them access to the A56 or the crossover between Moss Lane and Wood Lane up until 11:05 and then again from 16:00

Residents MUST drive slowly as they will be driving on a closed road

2. Residents fronting Thorley Lane or on roads which exit onto Thorley Lane

These residents can leave using Thorley Lane, but only in the direction of Shaftesbury Avenue up until 11:15 and then again from 16:00 (subject to the last runner having passed)

As organisers we apologise for the inconvenience caused. The length of closures is a one off as we are staging both a Half Marathon and Marathon on the same day.
